davos07

That’s the tag to use if you want your opinion on the WEF07 to appear on the all-new, shinier-than-shiny davosconversation.org website which, according to the bullshit information handed down to us by Mr Jeff Jarvis himself in his Youtube video message, must be nothing short of The Saviour himself.

Well, at least they say that’s the tag to use. My bet is that after last year’s 2005’s embarrassing but entertaining Easongate scandal, they’ll make sure nothing appears on that website without prior approval by the censors. Or perhaps they’re indeed “opening up to the people” so they can leak even more damaging material, but this time with the plausible excuse that it wasn’t them? What a propaganda blitz it will be.

Sorry. Conspiracy theories. Let’s just wait and see. The davosconversation.org website officially launched today, the WEF is from 23 to 28 January. Here’s the complete programme for your entertainment.

Other than that, I suppose it’ll be a nice change from the (other than the entertaining Easongate) rather dull official Forumblog, which used to be the place where The People were allowed to talk about Davos. Loic Le Meur did a good job managing the blog for the last three years (and will do so again this year), but he doesn’t seem to be involved in the davosconversation.org thing.

And now please excuse me while I try to adjust my bullshit detector to not blow a fuse next time it is subjected to these new, unprecedented levels of, we’ll be honest, bullshit propaganda slung at me by Jeff Jarvis in his video message and all the other guys and girls in their blogs. Do these people even listen to what they’re telling us? Guess not. It’s unbelievable.

@Stan, sorry for the delay, my system made a mistake and put your comment in the spam folder.

I think you got some things mixed up. techcrunch fired Sam Sethi (here’s a second opinion on that story) because of a conflict with Loic Le Meur. However, Loic Le Meur is still listed as Six Apart Executive VP.
