Citizendium.org
We believe a fork is necessary, and justified, both to allow regular people a place to work under the direction of experts, and in which personal accountability–including the use of real names–is expected. In short, we want to create a responsible community and a good global citizen.

Ha! under the direction of experts.

But we can start a new kind of Internet culture, one that is welcoming to mature, well-educated people, and thereby liberate the collective power of online experts. I appeal to scholars, scientists, teachers, and librarians, and (emphatically) that part of the public that wants to work under their guidance: let us organize and build a new kind of Web.

The nonprofit Digital Universe Foundation will soon start a free wiki encyclopedia from scratch, managed by experts but allowing public participation.
